Yes. The soil in Al Murqab is clay and extremely dense. When we dig or remove old planting, we need strong tools. Root systems are tangled and the soil binds tightly, so pulling out one old shrub can take much longer than in looser ground.

Yes. High humidity means leaves stay wet and filthy underground for a long time. We remove them regularly or they become a sodden mat that attracts insects, mould and rodents. The damp traps them in place.

Is the district so busy that we can only work at set times?
