Why a surface spray is not enough

Bed bugs do not live on top of the mattress. They hide inside the seams, the cracks in the frame and behind the headboard, and that is where the female lays her eggs in the dark. A quick spray kills what you can see and leaves the eggs untouched, so they hatch within days and the bites and blood spots come back worse than before.

  • Bites that ruin sleep

    Bed bug bites show up in rows on the arms and neck and itch through the night, breaking sleep for weeks. Once the source in the mattress and frame is gone, you wake without fresh marks and without the constant scratching.

  • Stop it spreading to other rooms

    Bed bugs crawl through electrical outlets and along furniture legs into the next room, so what begins with one mattress ends up across several rooms if it is left. Treating early keeps the infestation where it started instead of chasing it around the whole home.

Questions before booking

Should I prepare the room before you arrive?
Yes. Wash the sheets and covers on a hot cycle and dry them, and clear the space under and around the bed so we can reach the frame and corners. Do not spray pesticides yourself beforehand, as that scatters the bugs into other rooms and makes them harder to contain.

Is the treatment safe for children and sick people?
It is safe when the instructions are followed. The method is decided after inspection, and the residual product goes into cracks and edges rather than on the surfaces you sleep on directly. We ask you to leave the room while we work and return once it has dried for the time we set.

How long does the visit take?
It depends on how many rooms are affected and the size of the furniture, but a single bedroom is usually done in one visit over a few hours. The careful inspection of seams and cracks takes time, and that is the part we do not rush so no harbourage is left untreated.

Why do you come back after two weeks?
Because not all bed bug eggs die in the first visit, and some hatch within days. The second inspection catches any new generation before it breeds and lays eggs, which closes the full life cycle rather than letting the infestation return weeks later.

When can you come?
We arrange the visit at the earliest time that suits you, and we prefer not to delay because bed bugs breed quickly and move into neighbouring rooms. Tell us the time of day that works best, and we set a fixed slot for the first visit and the re-check afterwards.

Do I need to throw out the mattress?
Not usually. Most mattresses are treated in the way that suits them, with the residual product, and stay usable, unless they are torn or heavily infested. We inspect it first and tell you honestly whether treatment is enough or whether replacing it is the better value for you.
