The rail on my old villa is metal and looks tarnished. Is it truly safe to remove curtains from it?
It is safe but requires on-site inspection first. We test the strength of each bracket and fixing point gently before applying any load. If corrosion has weakened the rail, we provide temporary support during removal to prevent the rail snapping or the anchor point tearing from the wall. Most older villa rails are structurally sound despite surface tarnish, but we never assume.

My villa is quite new and the curtains are brand new fabric. Will cleaning damage the new colour?
Proper cleaning preserves new colours. We identify the fabric type first, then select the water temperature and detergent to suit it. New fabrics may lose a small amount of temporary dye in the first wash, which is normal and not damage. The colour stabilises after the first cleaning, and the fabric looks fresher, not faded, because dust and handling marks are removed.
