What is different about Central Riyadh

Central Riyadh is the oldest and busiest part of the city. Olaya and Sulaimaniyah carry the office towers along King Fahd Road and Tahlia Street, including Kingdom Centre and Al Faisaliah, while Al Malaz, Al Murabba, Al Batha and Al Dirah are older apartment blocks with shops on the ground floor, the Masmak quarter and the markets around Qasr Al Hukm. Heavy traffic on the main roads coats glass and shopfronts in a grey exhaust film, older stairwells and tiled corridors show worn grout and scale from the hard water, and the commercial buildings never stop taking footfall.

Al Areej Park is close and humidity is high all the time. Does that affect cleaning and drying?
Yes, high damp means curtains dry slowly. We suggest hanging them in a well-ventilated space away from the park, and drying may take an extra day or two.

The villa has a private garden and sand blows in through the windows. How often should I clean?
Villas with private gardens need less cleaning because foot traffic is lower. Every three or four months is enough unless there are strong wind events.

Fine sand is deeply embedded in the curtains. Is there a way to lighten the load after cleaning?
Stuck sand comes out only through deep washing. After cleaning curtains lighten noticeably, and new sand only needs regular cleaning to stay on top of.

Cotton and voile curtains both in the villa. Is cleaning treatment different for each?
Yes, we sort them and treat each type by its properties. Cotton tolerates warmer water and voile needs cool water.

By day one after cleaning I see fresh sand on the curtains again. Is there a permanent fix?
No permanent fix for ongoing winds, but regular cleaning keeps them presentable. Strong wind events need more frequent cleaning.

Al Nusaim Al Gharbi is next to us and movement changes between villa and flat. Is cleaning different?
The difference is in total curtain load. Villas usually carry less soiling than flats near main roads.
