What is different about East Riyadh

East Riyadh runs from King Abdullah Road and Khurais Road out past the eastern ring road towards Al Janadriyah. Al Rawdah, Al Naseem and Al Yarmuk are established districts of villas and mid rise apartment blocks, while Al Rimal, Al Munsiyah and Ishbiliyah are newer estates with more compact houses and lighter finishes. Will Dahna sand enter our new home from under closed doors?
Yes. Sand so fine works under doors and windows even if tightly closed. There is no way to block sand completely, but keeping the home tidy and sealed as much as possible reduces the amount.

Will the nearby public parks make the kitchen dirty faster?
Parks add slight extra humidity, and this may make grease stick more. The effect is small compared to Dahna sand, which is the main issue.

Do we need to clean more often in Al Salam than in central districts?
You may need cleaning every five months instead of six, but the difference is small. Sand adds to the layer but the base grease buildup is similar.

Could fine Dahna sand harm electrical appliances in the kitchen?
