Raghwat Al Janoub Maintenance and Cleaning

Kitchen cleaning across Saudi Arabia

It suits homes, flats and small restaurant kitchens where grease has stopped wiping off.

Why a kitchen needs more than a wipe

Grease in a kitchen does not stay on the surface. It works into the extractor, the filters and the wall behind the hobs, where a cloth never reaches. Left there it becomes a genuine fire load sitting directly over the flame, and it traps the odours that come back every time the room warms up. Riyadh's fine dust settles onto it and hardens the layer further.

  • Grease over a flame is a fire load

The fat that builds up inside the hood and along the extract duct is combustible, and it sits directly above the burners. Clearing it out of the filters and the ductwork lowers the risk of a fire starting where it most easily would.

  • Smells that leave for good

Kitchen odour does not come from the air but from old grease stuck on surfaces and sitting in the drain trap. Once that grease is removed at its source the smell goes with it, instead of being masked by a spray for a few hours.

  • Surfaces safe for food prep

Greasy worktops and the porous grout between tiles collect food residue and bacteria right where you cook. A deep clean returns the sink and the work surfaces to a state you can chop food on without a second thought.

  • Appliances that run better

An oven caked in burnt-on grease uses more energy and heats unevenly, and a fridge with dirty door seals never closes tight. Cleaning them inside restores how they were meant to work and puts off the day they fail.

What's Included

We work through the kitchen item by item, from the highest point in the room down to the drain, without skipping a corner.

  • Degreasing the extractor

We take out the extractor filter and soak it to dissolve the grease, then wipe the fan and the inside of the duct so the combustible layer sitting over the hobs is cleared.

  • Cupboard fronts, inside and out

We clean the cupboard doors inside and out, lifting the splashed-on grease and the fingerprints off the handles and edges that a quick wipe always leaves behind.

  • Appliances: oven and fridge inside

We clean the oven inside, lifting burnt-on grease off the racks and the glass, and the fridge inside, including the drawers and the rubber door seals where grime and smells collect.

  • Worktops and the sink

We strip the sticky film off the worktops and clear the sink and mixer tap of limescale and food traces, so the surface is fit to prepare food on straight away.

  • Tile and grout behind the hobs

We scrub the tiles and the grout lines behind the hobs to lift the splashed grease and the built-up yellowing, since porous grout traps fat and darkens into stains a cloth cannot shift.

  • Drain and trap

We open the sink trap and the drain strainer and clear them of hardened grease and food debris, since this build-up is what causes the smell and the slow-draining water.

Questions before booking

How far ahead do I need to book?

We arrange the visit around the state of your kitchen and your own timing, and can usually find a slot soon. Restaurant kitchens that need longer are best booked ahead, while a home kitchen can be set up quickly. Tell us the time that suits you and we work around it.

Do I need to empty the cupboards first?

You do not have to empty everything, but it helps if you clear the surfaces and move any open food out of the immediate work area. We handle taking off the filters and racks ourselves, and we move what needs moving carefully and put it back afterwards.

Are the products safe around food and appliances?

Yes. We use degreasers made for the job and rinse every food-contact surface well afterwards, so no chemical residue is left. We match the product to each appliance and surface, and keep the kitchen ventilated while we work over the hobs.

How long does a kitchen take?

It depends on the size of the kitchen and how much grease has built up since the last deep clean. An average home kitchen takes part of a day, while a restaurant kitchen with a large hood can need longer. We give you an estimate after the survey.

Do you clean restaurant kitchens or only homes?

We do both. A home kitchen covers the hood, oven, fridge and surfaces, while a restaurant kitchen adds the large extract canopy, where grease collects as a fire load and needs checking on a set schedule rather than only when a problem shows.

How long will the kitchen stay clean?

It depends on how much you cook, but once the built-up layer is gone the daily cleaning is easier and grease returns more slowly. We suggest wiping the surfaces and hood regularly, and booking a periodic deep clean for heavy-use kitchens before the fat works back into the ducts.
