What is different about East Riyadh

East Riyadh runs from King Abdullah Road and Khurais Road out past the eastern ring road towards Al Janadriyah. Al Rawdah, Al Naseem and Al Yarmuk are established districts of villas and mid rise apartment blocks, while Al Rimal, Al Munsiyah and Ishbiliyah are newer estates with more compact houses and lighter finishes. This side of the city faces the open desert and the sand belt of the Dahna, so it takes the first and heaviest share of every dust storm, and fine sand works into stairwells, balconies and window tracks all along the Dammam highway.

Natural stone is sensitive. We use moderate cleaners and avoid strong acid products. We test on a corner first and let water soak the soil before scrubbing.

The front balcony and windows take desert sand more than the back, how often should we clean?
The front-facing side exposed to the desert needs cleaning more often. We give front windows and balconies more frequent attention than the back.

Is Al Jazirah a safer district for cleaning compared to areas nearby?
The district is established and stable and safe. Villas are varied and foot traffic is relatively quiet. Cleaning is easier than in dense or very old districts.
