We start at the entrance and hallways: doors, handles and light switches wiped down, and the floor cleaned first, since it carries the most shoe dust into the flat.

Rooms: surfaces, furniture, floors
In the rooms we dust surfaces and shelves from the top down, wipe the furniture and clean under and behind it, then finish with the floor as the last step.

The kitchen, fronts and surfaces
The kitchen outside: cabinet fronts top and bottom, worktops, the sink, and the outside of the oven and fridge, with built-up grease removed that a quick wipe leaves behind.

Bathrooms and disinfection
Bathrooms are scrubbed and disinfected: tiles and grout, the toilet, the basin and the taps. We lift the hard-water scale before it sets into a permanent mark on the surface.

Interior glass and mirrors
Interior glass and mirrors are cleaned until they run clear without streaks. Left long enough, scale on glass etches it and no longer wipes off, so we deal with it early.

Balcony and sliding doors
The balcony and sliding doors: we sweep and wash the balcony floor and clear the sliding-door track of the packed dust that stops it running, plus the door glass both sides.
