The stone here is very old and traditional mortar is weak. High pressure water can force into centuries old cracks and speed decay fast. We use very low pressure and slow drying on every old facade without exception.

Spring winds carry fine red sand from the Nafud that bonds hard to stone and mud. Groundwater is hard so white lime deposits form alongside the red dust, creating layered staining on facades that needs targeted removal.

What is different about Qassim Region
Qassim is farming country in the heart of Najd. Buraydah, Unaizah, Al Rass, Al Bukayriyah and Al Badayea are low rise towns of villas, wide streets and new commercial blocks, with the old mud quarters of Unaizah and the date markets of Buraydah among them, and palm groves and irrigated fields on every side. The Nafud sands lie to the north, so spring winds carry a fine reddish grit that settles on render and glass, and winter nights bring frost and occasional rain that streaks dusty facades. The groundwater is hard and marks stone when it dries.
